Transportation Information
The Monona Terrace Convention Center is a state-of-the-arts Frank Lloyd Wright inspired facility. The Monona Terrace is located in the heart of Madison’s cultural and entertainment district. Visa Information
For VISA information contact International Visitors Office (IVO) of the National Academies. This Web site should serve as a VISA resource for all visiting scientists and scholars traveling to the United States. Additionally, a survey is available and will be used to assist future travelers with the VISA process.
The U.S. is advising visa applicants to apply at least three to four months in advance of their travel date. To increase security for citizens and visitors, the U.S. has recently updated its policies for Visas. Here are come guidelines to help you through this procedure:

- Make an Appointment—Visit

with financial status), and proof of payment of fees.
- Submit Your Application, passport along with supporting documents to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
- Start
Early, Additional reviews may be required—this could add
an additional 4–6 weeks to the processing time.

TRAIN TRAVEL TO MADISON
Transportation by train is available to Columbus, WI, which is located 26 miles from Madison via the Empire Builder Amtrak line. A westbound train departs Columbus daily at 12:32 PM and an eastbound train arrives daily at 5:05 PM

SHUTTLE SERVICE
Most major Madison hotels offer complimentary transportation to and from Dane County Regional Airport.Many hotels also offer transportation for guests to other points in the Madison area as well. Madison's downtown hotels are within close proximity of each other, allowing for design of economic and effective, custom shuttle service.This service could provide regular service between your housing block hotels and your meeting facility, including the Monona Terrace® Convention Center or the Alliant Energy Center. TAXI/LIMOUSINE SERVICE
Taxi departures at the Dane County Regional Airport may be found at the north end of the baggage claim door #7. Public ground transportation (other than taxis) including courtesy vans, Metro bus service, and the rental car lot can be found at door #6.
